Daniel catches up with Kent Joseph, CEO of Equity Transport Group. Entering Limousine company Hughes (now part of ETG) at just 24, the outstanding impact he made on the 120 year old business quickly propelled him to the CEO position. Since then. Kent has diversified the company group’s offerings, expanding its scope beyond transportation services.

On this episode Daniel and Kent discuss sales strategies, the importance of simplifying your business and creating a culture centred around saying ‘yes’. They also explored how to identify a poor culture fit within your business and what to do when this problem arises.

FAVOURITE QUOTE:
Success is Never Owned, it is only rented, and rent is due everyday.
GREATEST LESSON(S) IN BUSINESS:
Don’t take it all too seriously. It is easy to get carried away with our own self importance or the importance of our job or business, but at the end of the day when that business winds down or we move on to greener pastures, the world keeps spinning, so no point getting too carried away with things. Also, most people are completely full of shit and are making things up in their job daily.
WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT CUB:
Networking events and seeing the energy that a lot of these entrepreneurs have for their own businesses. In so many cases it is very inspirational.
