GREATEST LESSON(S) IN BUSINESS:
You need to ask.
Often as a business owner you tend not to seek help from your friends, family, network. Some times you just expect them to know? And then when they don’t, it bothers you. But the fact of the matter is that they have no clue because you never asked. Other times you try and solve problems yourself or you think that it will be an imposition, when really that is not the case at all. You take on the weight of the world sometimes when you don’t need to. This applies both personally and professionally.
You don’t ask, you don’t get.
WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT CUB:
The ability to meet different business owners with diverse backgrounds across a range of sectors. It is the diversity of individual that makes it interesting. You need to be open to new experiences, new ways of thinking, to challenge you value and belief system and to test what you are doing or what you think is the norm.
It’s like travelling to different countries, but in a business sense!
I also love the ability to be able to share experiences. To know that a lot of what you are going through is very common. You are not alone. It is easy to read a book and read about what other business owners go through, the challenges and how to solve problems, but engaging with CUB members and other business owners makes it all very real and relatable.
